Marni is an Italian fashion label founded by Consuelo Castiglioni in 1994. She is responsible for Marni's aesthetic of bohemianin, off-beat fashion. Early design features included idiosyncratic prints and vintage shapes and fabrics. Marni has retained these elements but has become more streamlined. Other Marni signatures include juxtapositions of texture and color blocking. A palette focused on muted hues with bight accent colors. As well as unusual shapes, such as asymmetry, and large volumes.

I really love her jewelry, shoes and accessories! Using interesting materials, such as woven fabric and bake lite for  necklaces and a fascinating color pallet.

McQueen's New Fall Ad Campaign featuring Raquel Zimmermann

Sarah Burton has done a fantastic job with the art direction of the new Fall Alexander McQueen campaign. Also the Met's show, "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty," on Sunday night became the most popular Met Costume Institute show ever, when it welcomed its 582,000th visitor. Opening day attendance was higher than for any other special exhibit, save for a Van Gogh show the museum mounted in 2005

Day out in VENICE * Dal giorno a VENEZIA

It was a warm sunny summer day in Venice, so we decided to take the bikes for a cruise. Typical stops for us are: The Venice Canals, the Board Walk (Skate Park, Street Performers, RV Art), Abbot Kinney, and the Venice Pier. We ended the day with leopard print nail art and a glass of wine at 3110.
