De Rex Photo Shoot in Santa Monica

I had a n amazing shoot the other day!  It was for a bathing suit line called De Rex created by Pepperdine alumni, Shenea DeWeese.  The suits are SICK!! Amazing material, perfect fit and super sexy!!  We shot in Santa Monica at an amazing location right on the beach off the PCH. It was a warm day for December, the sun was bright. We started the day off with strong coffee and breakfast, while the photo crew started to set up. First stop was the hair chair for me.  Hair stylist Steve Lake Louis, did an amazing job with messy beach hair. A seemingly natural look, actually took a bit of work. He used a curling iron, hair spray, beach spray, wax . .  and the pièce de résistance, spray "Wool"! I have never heard of that before but the final result was unreal! Next stop was the make-up chair. Jetty Stutzman, a absolute perfectionist,  completed the look like a skilled painter.

Let the shoot begin! The weather was slightly cold to start, but the positive energy soon lifted our spirits. There was a group of long board surfers trying their hand at a shore break to our left and a flock of seagulls a bit further down. Richard Hume, the photographer started the job.  He was so fun to work with and made it seem easy. The pictures came out so well!! We shot until 1:00pm, then broke for lunch.  We had a fresh catered meal waiting for us, which was well earned at that point! We worked until the sun went down then then worked some more! The energy was so good it did not feel like work! Finely we finished our last shot! Then we rewarded ourselves with a nice dip into the hot jacuzzi. What a good day! :)

Short Film in NYC.

When I was in New York a week ago, I had the honor to shoot a short film with my friend Idin. I can't say too much about the story but it was awesome! Here are some of the behind the scene photos. It was soooo cold and I had to stand bare foot in Times Square!
