Vintage Store: Gotta Have It, Venice.

It was pouring rain this Friday in L.A. and my friend Helen de Bragança was in town from NY so we decided to do a little vintage shopping. We picked up Maria and headed South to this great place in Venice called "Gotta Have It".  Denise (a British expat), opened this store over 20 years ago.  Its a buy, trade, sell, and consignment store that specializes in vintage. She has a great selection of 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's pieces and hand picks everything (and what a good picking she has). "Gotta Have It" has everything from gold lame dresses, to faux fur leopard print jackets; sweet little 80's heels and 90's floral dresses. Have a look!

My Outfit: T-Shirt, vintage; Over shirt, vintage; Jacket, "Fillipa K"; Jeans, "Superfine"; Bag, "Balenciaga"; Shoes, "Surface to Air"; Necklace (cut the beaded collar of a shirt).

Surf trip to Puerto Rico: Inches

I recently went on a surf trip to Puerto Rico. We stayed by the beach, wandered the streets of Old San Juan, and surfed Inches (which was pumping because of a recent storm). Here are some of the photos and details of what I wore.

Los Angeles Art Walk

Just went to the Los Angeles Art Walk, in Down Town L.A. . . . and felt like I was walking around NYC again . . it was nice . . Live street music, free art shows,  and free wine.  My friend and model, Maria Granberg had her art on display at "Last Night a DJ Saved MY Life" Art Show. We were also rocking the Oakley Valentines day Shades!  http://artwalkla.wordpress.com/

Wang Wang! Walla Walla Bing Bang!!: Alexander Wang Fall 2011

Ach . . . ol'Alexander Wang . . . A down town girls best friend. He comes through season after season with pieces that sing our song! They speak to our subconscious, one that lives below 14th street! Paired down pieces with slick asymmetrical profiles.  This season Wang deconstructed evening and snow princess attire.  Pre-show, the designer noted he wanted to “poke fun at luxury and decadence.”And that he did . . . I really love the sparkly pants that come in a few colors! Take a look at my favorite looks:
